You must really miss Blighty to keep trying to convince us that you like it there. "He doth protest too much" is the quote that springs to mind.

Dunno but Ill chip in 50 towards one!

Ive just got back on the scooter from a ride out on the Yorkshire coast. Got back to the van and me hands were welded to the handlebars its that flipping cold Had to fill the van with water, put bikes and scooter away and move the van. All in a Gale and drving sleety rain. IVe been stood by the fire for half an hour trying to get warm but its a lost cause. IVe had it. Im fading fast. Need Beer!

Almost any price could be a price well worth paying to quieten up the Almerian Anglo/Hispanic sunburnt kid.

Unfortunately besides the prime target and even with a so called "surgical strike" these drones seem to "take out" an average of 25 associated collateral casualties, so all things considered it may be preferable to let him continue to wind us up.
The last 2 or 3 winter weathers in southern Spain have been good, but it's certainly not guaranteed to be so.
Thankfully in 4 weeks I will be well south of him in guaranteed sunshine

I suggest we all chip in to buy Ken a smug fliter for his computer.

We use them a lot ,here in Yorkshire .

It changes words like "fantastic ",amazing ", heatwave " ,to "So-so"., "must'nt complain "

Will only allow temperatures between 15 and 21 degrees.

My problem is that I sometimes forget to turn it on when I'm in Portugal !

the collateral damage could very well include a large enclave of smug ex-pats all sending weather reports to friends and families in the UK . there might even be a reward !

And as for the longterm winter motorhomers going to the Med. merely for the warmth, (but insist would prefer to stay in Blighty, if only it had an equable climate blah blah), they could consider staying home and putting the 700+fuel and ferry savings towards achieving costa warmth standards in the UK.....c/heating, car, heated shopping malls etc will work out cheaper, after all Spanish costa living is generally as expensive as the UK these days.
With any luck they'll take the option and leave a bit more space for the rest of us :lol-061:
