Does anyone know of any hideaway gems selling fresh fish and shellfish in Wales? Similar to the Company shed in West Mersea, or the Seafood Cabin in Skipness.

Sharing your secret finds with us would be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Lou & Terri

Years ago there used to be excellent fresh fish stalls in Cardiff centre Market, as MTM says; is it still there though ?. Also used to sell that edible seaweed stuff, OK if fried briskly in a little seasoned butter. Also all sorts of rubbery gritty stuff in little shells. Wash it down with a pint of Brains, or, even better, TCP or Thetford Blue. If ever in S Devon try the Crab Shack in Teignmouth - got their own trawler & a day crabbing boat ...fishy heaven !!.

Many thanks for all your suggestions. If there are any more, especially in small ports/harbours where direct purchase can be made from a boat, that would be great.

Thanks again, Lou & Terri

The old little harbour masters office in tenby harbour is now a fresh fish stall...yummy, run by a young local couple , he fishes, she sells it in the stall..it's at the top of the harbour

I often buy Ling from Cardiff market when they have it.
I love the texture and it tastes like cod, same family but much cheaper.
