Our 04 Fiat has a cup holder moulded into the dash on the passenger's RH side. Surprised if it has gone in the later model. It's really substantial circular pit rather than a silly flimsy pop-out or clip on one.

My wife has a need for frequent fluid intake so will sometimes have a glass of fruit juice on the go while I am driving, but she doesn't like doing it cos the occasional bumps & potholes can knock her teeth quite badly when they catch her at the wrong time.

As a male driver, when not actually drinking, I have always clasped the scalding hot coffee cup between my inner thighs . . .

Greetings all,

I nearly reached home, from the Blacksmith meet. When there was a loud bang.

Thought that someone had thrown a brick at the M/H.

Then we saw the mess down the passenger window.

In the cup holder was a tin of cherry coke, which normally is fine.

But in my Burstner the cup holders are heated.

Never noticed before how hot they get, when left for a long time.

But the top was blown half way off.

Next time I'll drink it while its cold.

Great if it's a hot drink, or soup though.

It'll be warm when we get there?

Rgd's Graham.

I have a large roll of duct tape sat on my dash and just put the cup in the center of that. Its also handy when going in and out of anpr controlled car parks ,just put a bit of tape over your number plate when you go in or out.:giggle::rulez:

I couldn't be doing with all that clutter all over the dashboard, that's what handbags are for.
What about one of those hats that hold a couple of cans, not a good idea for hot liquids though:scared:

I also suspect your quite right but do remove the tape when parked as the cameras are usually on the entrance and exits only.

What our Fiat based Swift was missing was anywhere to put a drink when you're not driving. Turn the front seats round and nothing. The floor is no good as it's not flat. Looked at cup holders and then made two shelves from a chopping board that was bought because it was the same colour wood. You just have to remember to check the shelves before driving off. Thats how we found out that the colours in the fabric were not colour fast and left horrible tide marks as it dried.
