We're looking at the possibility of staying at a pub, or near a pub in the camper for a couple of nights over Christmas. It would be good if it were near some water like a lake or something and also between 50 - 80 miles from Warwick. The idea would be either to have Christmas lunch in the pub, or to cook it ourselves in the camper (which is what we did last year). Wales might be preferable but all suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Pretty much all pubs will say yes especially if you have Xmas lunch there. Just find your ideal pub on Google and give them a ring.

If all else fails you could stay at Shustoke Reservoir car park and there is a very local pub, the Plough, I think.

Thanks for that. We were there about a year ago, and found it to be a really good stopover. A bit far for us though on this occasion. However, in the week we were in Norfolk the last time, generally we found it to be extremely MH unfriendly and we will not be rushing back there.

Just for everyone's info, we ended up at Lyndon Top, Rutland Water. Two other motorhomes there over Christmas, couldn't even see them from where we were parked the area is so big. Really good location for us, 6 a night and just turn up unannounced no problems at all. Will be going back from time to time for sure.
