Just got to Bala Lake about 1hour ago and its very dark ,turned onto the car park and its completely underwater.,so moved on to the smaller one further on that's well above the lake hopefully,
Anyway MERRY CHRISTMAS

My favourite spot is out of Bala past the small business park towards Bryterion and Llangynog on B4391
Just past the county boundary on the left there is a pull in behind a hillock good for overnighting.
Caveat the trouble with some of these places is that nowadays they are favoured 'dogging' spots.

what a great idea ,would love to do that but we got family round and we never been out in this van yet [one day?]

Just go somewhere local for a meal & walk as a day out. Take the family & offer soup & cold buffet of left overs.

The Eagles in Llanuchlyn,by the Lake Railway has an excellent restaurant,Sospan Fach in Bala town is good for snacks and afternoon tea.
