Can anyone advise if the south coast is too wet for wilding or not? We are hoping to "do" Kent round to Portsmouth but have concerns over now wet it is?

Thanks in advance

Worthing seafront is ok, stayed several times and have had no problems, head for the western end of the town, Traffic a bit heavy early but not to bad during night .. The other place is Arundel, a small beautiful town, lots to see, castle,R.C Cathedral, shops and some lovely walks. Parking is accepted on the road down to Swanborne lake near the castle. at the end of the dead end road is a nice food pub called The Black Rabbit, well worth a visit. Hope this is some use, have a good time

We are here (Sussex coast) permanently and have had no problems. PM us if you get to the Newhaven area

If you get a bit further round the coast (not far), Dungeness is a bit like going to another planet. Yes there's a nuclear power station there but it's unique. I believe the Pilot inn allows overnighting, especially this time of the year.

If you get round to Portsmouth , there's a good overnighter spot on top of the hill overlooking the city.
Go out from the town on the old A3 not the A3M , through Cosham, take a left at the George pub...good pub....couple hundred meters , on the right, park up by the Churchillian pub. Great views over the city.
Don't park on the left....all night burger van!!! Noisy !
