Hi Folks
Thanks
Lenny,
The only person that did not make us feel welcome was an Englishman who lived there. I think he thought that he should be the only English there:D

Ricky,
The weather was much better than the photos show.

David,
Yes we had lots of fun on the bikes, Kath fell off on her first day and has the scars to show for it, but we would not be without them again:cool:

Rob,
I know what you mean about Oradour, (I wonder how much they have changed if any? but what a nice aire that they have made for us:cool:
I took over 400 photos and this is just a quick snap at them:eek:

Hi Lenny.
Yes they have supposed to have left it as it was, but I think they have maybe moved the cars and a few smaller things.
A lot of the houses had a hand powered sewing machine somewhere on the floor

If anybody visits Briare the best aire I have ever stayed on is only 8 km away at Ouzouer-sur-Trézée, a nice walk or canoe along the canal from Briare.
It is a hard standing car park on the canal bank with free electricity and FREE 24 hour HOT SHOWERS and toilets - better than most campsites I have ever stayed on.

It is in the Camperstop book, which does not give directions, only a gps location, but not in our old French guide which would have given directions.

Hi Jimmy Hill.
Sorry I have had a few sleeps since we did the 2008 trip, however from memory I am pretty sure that we did not overnight there.
There was quite a lot of free parking in the village square and it would be quite possible and safe to overnight in the square. I seem to remember that there was one m/h overnighting.
