Hi all,
Sitting here reading these posts feeling green with envy with most of them, I was wondering
what others were feeling when they were waiting, like me, for their first MH or campervan.
Deposits paid, additions being done and just waiting for a collection date.

After years in tents and VW scene we picked up our Hymer last Friday. New year's day we're off to France then Spain in it. Luxury! Enjoy it - I know ours will really change our lives. See you out there

The excitement becomes too much !
I ended up looking up a similar motorhome on the net, and looking at that one day in, day out, lol.
Still a great feeling to have though.
Enjoy.

Us too. I kept going back to the advert for it on the dealer's site & blowing all the pictures up to have a closer look.
Making plans, lots of them, most still to be realised.

Hi Sharon the Cat,
Yep doing that too, but glad to see it has now been taken off the stock list!!
Lucky that I took a load of pics when I went to see the van for real. Just planning and dreaming of what's to come for now.

I'm in a similar boat to you. I'm picking mine up around the 7th.
For me it's:

- showing photos to everyone who knows me
- getting cat sitter/house sitter list together
- compiling a 'camper' wishlist on amazon
- planning dreaming planning dreaming planning dreaming

Like a couple of wiser kids, the last time we were mobile camping was in a Defender with the two children setting off to distant countries after selling the house packing in the jobs. Now we are on our own again our time has come again at last we have booked the tunnel for a drive up to Den Hague to view a Mercedes Benz 1017 truck camper, we keep looking at the downloaded pictures and wondering/dreaming of the places we can get to. Sleeping and cooking in the truck will be heaven after the Defender and the tent. We have no worries free camping because thats in our blood as we have met the nicest people wherever we have stayed. We might let this house out rather than sell this time as we are both older and more financially aware but we can't wait, when we get to view the truck we must nt look like two excited teenagers, can you feel our excitement only 16 sleeps
