We're doing the same journey but in April. It might be worth your while buying the Camperstop Europe book, we bought ours from Vicarious Books Vicarious Books - Camping Caravaning and Motorhome stopover site guide publishers. (http://www.VicariousBooks.co.uk). There are loads of sostas and campsites on your journey.
Hope this helps,
Pat
ps it's gonna be hot, hot, hot in Greece in August :)

hi Pat, thanks for that, we have done this a few times, but its a couple of years ago and cant remember were we stayed. Are you going to Greece? we are going until the 15th October. so excited. I think the last time was about 2008 the thread may still be on here. Its not far for us we live in the french Alps, so if you are passing this way, give us a shout. Were are you staying on the way?

Hi there,
We'll set off after visiting family in St Etienne after the Easter weekend and then meander slowly across to Ancona to catch the ferry to Igoumenitsa on the 23rd April. No idea yet where we will stop on the way! Then a couple of months or so wandering around Greece and, hopefully, helping their economy by spending a few euros. When it gets too hot, maybe early July we'll set off back to UK via Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria,Germany,France. Plans are pretty fluid for the return trip, so long as we are back in UK for MOT in September all will be well.
Happy travels,
Pat
