We enjoyed our stay with the chance to meet you all - although Mum and I did panic a bit on arrival to see nothing but blokes:eek:
Still, as expected, they all turned out to be very nice and since our van ended up with four females (which were the four generations Lenny mentioned) and one male we did try to balance things out and give Liz some support.:D
Thank you Lenny for organising this.
Dad (Tony) did take some photos but not sure how they turned out - might post if decent.
PS We did eventually manage to get away home once son Lewis returned with daughter's car keys about 11.30!!!

:eek::eek:At Pickering I was Having a chat with me dad (David Bellamy) and he was telling me about how he was arranging for funding for a nationwide search for a Funghi species that had not been spotted in the wild in britain for nearly 7 years.
the species in question was the The WHITE SPOTTED DEATH REDCAP>>>>>
The handling or consumption of this funghi can make normally placid men dress in kilts, sleep in woods and charm dogs to lie on their backs faneing sleep.......
David informed me that there were probably no more than 2 left in the whole of the british Isles and that should someone stumble upon the site of the last remaining specimens that a reward of upwards of 10,000 pounds would be available to keep the site secret so that no one would be tempted to pick them..................:o:o:o:(:(
A concentrated search would be centred on the Scottish borders.......
I have just passed on your mobile number to DAVID.

Sorry to leave without saying goodbye but the lads wanted to get back for the match (after the match Tucker said he wish we had stayed in the forest:p).

Looking forward to the next one:)

Hi all,
we have just got back from "The Great Northern Meet"! :D No, it was nothing to do with those mushrooms! I rang Uncle David  up, Rick, And he said that the Red Spots, that he was after, were a lot smaller than the ones I had found, but he still wanted to know where I had found them! He wanted to buy some off me as he said he had a secret recipe for them! I asked him about the reward, ;) but he wasn't very forthcoming about it. So I didn't tell him!!! :p Liz, myself and the two dogs had a great weekend up in Peebles. Plenty of woodland walks and blokes nearly falling off mountain bikes as one or another of the South Shields crew shouted out "I'll gie ya 20 quid for ya bike mon!!" A great time was, I think, enjoyed by all. A really good way to meet people, we thought and so did the dogs!! :o Stayed last night, Andy, on the seaside of the airport. Great spot, thanks!! JIM

Welcome back, Jimmnlizz, I trust you enjoyed yourselves;), on the subject of the mushrooms...
http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd168/nyron/30082008226-1.jpg
I got a PM from Ian who reckons they are Fly Agaric mushrooms and good specimens, but suggested not to eat them cos they contain Mescalin(A Phsycoactive chemical) that is re-usable,ie you would be off your head after injestion and if you drank your own pea:eek: the next day you would be off your head again the next night and so on. This got me thinking:rolleyes:, I wonder if TUCKER had a nibble of one:p:eek:

Those shooms are a lot stronger than LSD and would be of value to acid heads, and drug dealers.
I have seen a few in my time but never as big as those.
