nice free spot to stop on the quay if visiting the town by day
but be warned dont stay there at night there is a train track under the road at the rear of the parking and the trucks go past on the cobbled roads all night you wont get a wink of sleep

Hi t&s stayed here in July during the tall ships race Armada. We must have been lucky as we had no problems with noise. This was just a temparory aires just for the Armada as we returned 3wks later but it was empty and didn't look so welcoming.
Grath not sure if your picture is the same place have you got any directions to the aires in your picture as we would like to visit Rouen again.

Hi DRS, it is on the Quayside right in the middle of Rouen and is a massive parking area:)
Can't remember if it was marked up with a sign, but it was in the Aire book:cool::cool:
To get access from Calais, you go over the river bridge and it is then on your right:)

A little bit farther on the quay changes name:' Quay Cavalier de la Salle' (known by satnav, right opposite the oldtown of Rouen. (bright view but it could not be so cosy especially at night in w.e)
I give away a wilding spot 20km from Rouen:
Abbeye de Fontaine-Guérand (P >< ruins ) near D321, Douville-sur-Andelle

Sorry about the name Grath. I was on the Loops quai on the otherside of the river.
When I looked inthis years Aires guide it only mentioned the Loops quai.
Thank's Belgian I'll try there next time i'm in Rouen.
