I would hate you all to think I'm going over to the other side but I find myself agreeing with other posters that I'm not normally in tune with , but our local council is closing branch libraries because they cost £50,000 pa to keep open but they can find £4m for a vanity project like this the graves plural are in leicester the battlefield site is in Hinckley and bosworth but our local council Charnwood has contributed £4m of the £22m cost ?????? And has to close library's because of goverment measures,

You do talk/write a load of utter tripe, why not concentrate your heathen comments on your new royalty 'The (T)wankies' and it will take us English no time at all to chase you cable 'Tossers' back up to the Heelands, cut off the unfair subsidies we English give you and Bob's your Uncle!! everything sorted, get 'Nige' to run our country and refuse to pull you out the financial bog which you are bound to slide into.

You people just don’t seem to know your place or your worth, I think we need some Revolting Peasants, or is it a Peasants Revolt? Seems sad to me that a pile of old bones is worth so much time and our money, I for one am getting tired of being milked for the benefit of the celebs and wealthy. The whole system is so plainly geared to screwing the majority, we now have no legal right to legal aid, soon NHS will be there only for the young and those who can afford it, the education of the young will only be for those whose parents can afford it. What’s happened to doing “due diligence with public money?”
This used to be the fairest nation in the World, so many seem to care less about the old, the sick, the unemployed, etc, etc, As each day goes by, I become more ashamed of being in a country, that has such little respect for anything except money, how can we expect future generations to have pride and to treat all peoples with fairness when so many are treated with such distain?

So you don't think Phil the Greek was a Nazi? Pity I am not able to put up the pictures of him goose stepping past Herr Hitler at the Reichstag. You will be able to find them easily on the internet.
The (T)wankies?. jaysas, you have me there.
Cable tossers? they not the mob that installs yer broadband? I think they are, indeed and indeed I do.
Looks like "Nige has his eye on running your country" or playing a big part in it. Its your country who have the problem with farage, we will have no truck with him. He looks like what would happen if Kermit actually banged miss piggy.
But you need to calm down podge, part of me takes great delight in yanking yer chain:hammer:

Richard III descendants left with massive overdue parking bill

Coffin could be clamped until they pay up.

The living relatives of Richard III, the last English king to perish in battle, are now faced with a bill of over £100,000 from Leicester City Council for a parking space the monarch occupied for well over five hundred years.

A spokesman for the council said: ‘We don’t care who you are; you can’t avoid Hawkeye Parking Enforcement sensors. Given that Richard arrived at the site about half a millennium before we installed the system, we didn’t clock him arriving, but we saw the whole exhumation thing. He’s been down there for ages. We are fully within our rights to issue parking fines retrospectively, even to those with alleged spinal disabilities’.

King for only two years, Richard III was fatally wounded at the Battle of Bosworth Field, and will finally be reburied at Leicester Cathedral on Thursday following his famous excavation from the car park back in 2012.

Despite this being the first occasion that a parking fine has been issued from an era that predates the car park itself, the council insist they have treated Richard fairly: ‘In accordance with the latest parking laws, once his twisted bones were exhumed, we were obliged to give him a ten-minute grace period to remove himself off the site completely.

‘Even after this fair and generous treatment, he still continued to just lie there, blocking the path of a Renault Megane Coupe that had already paid for a ticket.’

Defending the deceased monarch, MP Eric Pickles, who recently declared an end to the ‘war on motorists’, said: ‘Not only are we now ending the war on drivers who simply want to go about their daily business, but we will now extend this to kings who just want to die valiantly in battle and be buried underneath council-run car parking facilities without the fear of being financially penalised several centuries later. If that’s not an election winner then I don’t know what is.’

He should have been brought back to gods own county to be laid to rest. Born in Yorkshire, lived at middleham castle (some of his life) and last monarch from the House of York deserves to come back. Soldiers still die in battle and are returned to their homeland - Why not our Richard ?

You may not have any choice Ken, looks like we'll be running the show whether you like it or not, don't forget, this is what Cameroon wanted, the NO vote, he got it with all his dirty tricks now he has to take the consequences, you reap what you sow.
But look on the bright side,,,,,
Cameroon or Milliband
"Mr Salmond, its time to pony up for the missiles again.
Mr Salmond, " go feck yerself prime minister.

Prime minister " Mr Salmond, can you just sign here for 50 mil for the troops in Afghanistn"
Mr Salmond "no need prime minister, the troops are coming home, no more body bags coming out of that gaff"

Prime minister " Time to pony up for Frau Saxe Gotha Coburg and her dysfunctional family again I'm afraid"
This time Mr Salmon does not reply, he just looks at Cameroon and bursts out laughing.
See where I'm coming from Ken, we'll show you how its done.:p

Yes! go for it, he should be buried in the grounds of yorkminster,or whatever it is, just send your cheque to the treasury.

Just a thought if you do bring him home to good old Yorkshire, why don't you get Elton to rattle up a song for him, I can just hear him now "Goodbye old bag of bones"

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is currently responsible for the continued commemoration of 1.7 million deceased Commonwealth military service members in 153 countries. Since its inception, the Commission has constructed approximately 2,500 war cemeteries and numerous memorials. The Commission is currently responsible for the care of war dead at over 23,000 separate burial sites and the maintenance of more than 200 memorials worldwide. In addition to commemorating Commonwealth military service members, the Commission maintains, under arrangement with applicable governments, over 40,000 non-Commonwealth war graves and over 25,000 non-war military and civilian graves.
Clearly not all those who died in battle are returned home, could cost have something to do with it?

I'm glad King Dicky didn't request Haunch of Venison during his last battle or they might have propped him at the bar of that name in Leicester. I've seen some dodgy looking characters in there so maybe he was having a swift flagon of ale last time I was in.

Rumours were that the body had been thrown into the river from Bowbridge over the Soar as the new Tudor king left for London after spending two days celebrating with Richards body displayed naked so scarcely better than maingates midden, but in reality after he left the body was buried in an unmarked grave in the choir of grey friars church the church in turn was destroyed about 50 years later in the dissolution & became the family residence of the major of leicester. With the grave marked In the grounds this only became a car park during the Second World War,
