Only just but it is in Tuscany. At the end of stressful driving day just wanted a hard surface to spend the night. Earlier in the day I learnt another Italian phrase. Kept seeing signs at the roadside 'chiuso a transito'. When the tarmac ran out I stopped and got the dictionary out. 'CLOSED TO TRAFFIC'. Rock face on one side and a drop on the other. No room to turn so we carried on. Came to barriers across the road. There had been a rockfall and the road had been cleared. No workmen there so we moved the barriers, drove through and replaced them. The afternoon was spent driving in the clouds with visibility of about 150 metres.
The overnight spot was on a bend overlooking the village of Bruscoli.

In the morning we were in a clear spot but looking across the valley could see what we were going to drive into.
