Stopped to walk ths dogs at CR Haverigg 2 (Cumbria) - http://osmand.net/go?lat=54.1929&lon=-3.2563355&z=18

Found a very new looking sign a few metres away over looking the little beach, just below the trick point and the old windmill. Sign was about the bird sanctuary and the wild life in the area, it also said no camping. Not sure if it means the beach area or the gravel road.

Sorry forgot to take a picture. Though the gravel road, coming from the east looks like it have been used for camping and over night stays among other things ;)

Thanks for the update - I doubt the sign has any authority.

The area is a popular spot for local. We have even seen the Ice Cream van there. The road goes along the sea wall from Haverigg to this spot and continues through what was the slag dumps from the Iron Works, through the old Iron mine which is now the RSPB reserve past the local recycling centre back into Millom. Sounds not very attractive but it is as the works closed many years ago and nature is taking control again. Signs of the old jetty are still visible on the point.
