An Admiral was carrying out his annual inspection of one of the ships in his fleet one day.

Whilst eating a meal with the crew, he was impressed to see the Royal Navy insignia stamped on every biscuit.

He sent for the Chief Cook to ask how this was achieved, so that he could order it to be implemented in all the other ships under his command.

When asked, the Chief Cook replied, ''It's no great mystery, Sir. Before the biscuits are baked in the oven, I just slap each one against my belt buckle, which has the Navy insignia embossed on it''.

The Admiral was somewhat horrified to hear this, saying ''Good Lord, that's not very hygienic, is it, Chief ?''

The Chief shrugged and replied, ''Well, Sir, no disrespect, but if hygiene bothers you, I suggest you don't ask how we put the holes in the doughnuts....''.

Last time I had doughnuts on ship, they didn't have holes...

...mind you, the Chief Cook was a c**t...

Sounds like navy cooks are the same as Army cooks.
Hardest course in the Army, the catering corps exam, no one has ever passed :p
