Given the time the WC App took to download to my iPad (at home with WiFi) I assumed that the map and all the POI's were downloaded and were 'sat' on my tablet. When away at the weekend without internet or phone coverage I was unable to view the map to find WC sites.
Is this right?
Cheers Chris

If you have installed version 2, then it does require internet access. The app uses Google Maps.

I don't understand why it look a long time to install. The app is very small and the POI files are not big either.

Many people use maps.me, a free app, that allows you to download OpenStreetMap maps for offline usage. To load the POIs into this you will need to download them to a computer, then email the Google Earth .KML file to yourself. Open the email on your mobile device, then choose to open the .KML attachment in maps.me.

I hope this helps.

Thanks. Is version 1 now obsolete or is it an alternative to version 2?
