Just watched the Red Arrows and the Typhoon take off, flyby and land at Cardiff Airport,
A truly awesome experience with the wow factor, I've never heard nothing like that before.
Here is a clip of the Typhoon at Folkestone.

We were at porthcawl this afternoon and heard the noise , but didn't realise until we were on the way to mumbles it was the Swansea air show today. Luckily though most have gone home now and we have our regular spot in mumbles.

Awesome plane, awesome sound, but still not as good as a Vulcan... Live close to Farnborough and seen both a few times. Just my opinion before I start a new thread war!

Hoping to see the Red Arrows in a few weeks at Sunderland Air Show. We don't get to see them take off though, cos they fly in from Newcastle.
I think it's the Swedish Air Force that fly Vigan planes. Don't know if it's the machine or the pilots, but they are truly awesome.

I was nearly 19 years old and disembarking from the British Eagle Airways 1-11 which had just landed at Gutersloh Airport in Northern Germany, when I heard a noise akin to the world coming to an end! It was in fact a RAF English Electric Lightning doing 'Circuits and Bumps': attempting a landing and then shooting almost vertically into the sky. This clip shows how!

A real reminder of the power of these things. Mind you, we were in charge of Germany then...
