Great spot, just east of Edale on the road to Barber Booth. I contacted the High Peak re parking overnight in Edale and they said it was not allowed but gave me this spot :) Well done HPBC ! Space for 25 cars

Next to the village hall ?

No sleeping in vans by the village hall :( but if coming down from Mam Nick turn left at the bottom of the hill, signposted Barber Booth, just before the river bridge :)

Ha ha, I recognise that van!!! We were parked in the Hymer at the other end of the parking area to you last night but we were there to get an early start walking. We had a lovely 12 mile walk today around Kinder Scout in the rain/wind/fog but found a nice pub in Edale in the afternoon to wind down in :)

Darned spotted lol....

Hopefully we didn't disturb you too much as we kept to the furthest end of the car park.
We headed off out later after the car park was filled to the brim and ended up driving to the Yonderman cafe at wardlow mires (highly recommend their epic breakfasts) and a cracking real ale, pub over the road 'Three stags head' with a nice small campsite next door (3 per head per night) nice grassy field with basic loo/water/disposal point)

Absolutely not! The only disturbance was the odd train and the rain hammering on the roof! The car park was still rammed full at ~3:00 pm when we got back this afternoon. However, it was completely empty when we arrived at about 6:00 pm last night. We have stopped at Castleton a few times which has always been nice but we fancied a walk "over the other side" this time. We got a bit of a clearing in the weather at Kinder Downfall which was nice but twas very cold up top.

Yes was a tad wet an wild last night BUT nicely sheltered down there...
surprised at how busy it was this morning though.

Kinder can be a tad on the wild side at the best of times... Though same can be said for most of the Peak District...

I spend a fair amount of time exploring the aircraft wrecks that, litter the area....
couple of Sabres that came together over the top of kinder and now lie just below it towards Glossop.
