Hi, we are arriving in Dublin on May 22nd for our first tour of Ireland. We would like to spend 2/3 days in Dublin, can
anyone recommend locations/sites in or around the capital? We appreciate that we may have to use public transport to
access the city centre. Your help would be appreciated. Paul.

Hi
We are regularly in Dublin as James has family there. We always use Camac Valley Campsite, council owned and just off N7. Basically we have a rule never to wild in cities. It is expensive at EUR27 (showers are an extra EUR2) and not a particularly nice area, BUT you get:
- fully serviced large pitch with hedges around
- hard standing
- 24 security
- Washing machine only EUR3
- Buses regularly into city centre. The red tour bus leaves at 9.30, costs EUR2.5 each way and will take dogs. It returns at 4.30 (I think). Or there is the public bus, the stop is right outside the entrance.
- Large public park next door for walking, or running!

Link on their website to book.

we have stayed at Howth 53.39476N -6.07197W. just north of Dublin, you stay on the pier with lovely sea views, i short walk to many restaurants and the Dart railway 5 minutes away will take you into central Dublin in 20 minutes,
public toilets and fresh water nearby,
we have stayed here 3 years running and it's very popular so try and arrive before the evening, but if the pier is full you can park in the car park,
The only downside are the fishermen starting early but the upside is very fresh fish,
