If you head towards Callander on the A84, just beyond the town on your left you will see the entrance to Loch Lubnaig. Plenty of places to (tent) wildcamp & I am assured that the fishing is good. I am not a fisherman but I have wildcamped there several times & it is magic....Regards.

This is one of the places that you are talking about:)
This is the second lay by as you leave Callander
The sign on the second photo says that fishing permits are required and you can buy them in Callander

I recognise this place - its lovely but the only thing my son caught was a BBQ grill!! Are you allowed to camp overnight?

Yes and tents were also there. The Rangers came around and all was ok:)

Hi Auk, as a fisherman you will know ( as per common sense) that you look out for the fishing permits. As well as Loch Lubnaig, the other place you can aim for is Lochearnhead..loads & loads of sites & loads of fishing. Hope you enjoy yourself but let us know on your return. Regards.

Looks beautiful. Might give it a try sometime this year. Does anyone know if dogs are welcome ?
