Bit of journalistic licence I suspect, the bed not an offence but could be construed as an unsafe load ?

They had better sit outside B&Q and watch what is put into cars and not secured. It must be nice in Wigan on Friday nights if they have nothing more worthy to worry about. The good people of Wigan must sleep well at night knowing all is well.

Just means the Rozzers don't have to bother with investigating vehicle theft and Travellers trespass.

The bed doesn't look well made, poor bloke probably lost his house, or got slung out by his partner.

Then again was he stopped while he was cruising around the local red light district? does he have a bed in his car because he's pretending to be an HGV driver & can have a kip to keep his fake tacho happy?

with all this fake news about all things are possible!!

So as you spin along at 70 mph in your m/home possibly a Swift
you're pretty sure all that stapled and nailed crap behind you is secure?
Do you reckon the strap holding the gas cylinder "securing" strap
has been crash tested? No replies please by request!:p

I spent a couple of nights on a grass pitch early October, no electric at the Dingwall C&CC site - great showers. Whilst there I chatted with a veteran ex serviceman whose situation had him "living" in his Rav4 with a Howling Moon tent on the top. As a backup in the event of real inclement weather he also had a bed construction not too different to that pictured. I often wonder how he's getting on. Stay safe Keith!

I know several folk who have toured all over Europe with similar arrangements in their 2cvs. Indeed I have occasionally envied their accomodation when using a tent myself.

Think about the leisure batteries securely held in place by thin chipboard panels, securely fixed using a couple of wire staples.

Precisely, if an underemployed cop looked into many of the vans leaving Dover would he
likely see loose cases of bottled beer and wine, a roaming dog or two and most hazardous of
all hazards a cassette toilet fixed down with 4 unseen screws and only if the manufacturer
actually bothered with them! And did I mention overloaded?
Us m/homers should keep shtum methinks!

They would be more interested in the two fellers duck taped to your back axle of which you releaved them of 5000 each.:lol-053::lol-053::lol-053:

The strange thing is trev. from what I've observed going on at Calais and Dover from the handy vantage
viewing point obtained from my m/home there has, for many years not been as much due diligence given to
discovering cheap illegal immigrant labour as we the humble public have been led to believe. But
that's another story.
