Snow near to the Col de Aspin in the French Pyrenees a couple of weeks ago.
We took our bikes up (tour de France area) but on the back of the hymer:D:D

Thanks Jon :p:p took these pics for Cipro (Tim) as he is a keen cyclist:)
We can now say that our bikes have been up the Col de Aspin:D
on the back of the motorhome, but we will keep that bit quiet:D:D

By the way, you can overnight at the top, we didn't :(:(but wish that we had:(:(

What day were you there? -we were there on the 11th August and decided not to stay overnight as it was rather busy so went on to Piau Engaly.

Hi we were there about a week earlier as we came home on the 11th.

We are just back from 5 weeks in the Pyrenees. 'Wild' camped every night with a maximum of 2 or 3 other MH's. Days were sometimes busy especially in the tourist spots but it is an area to be recommended if you want to get away from it all in August.

We were generally paying just under 1 Euro per litre (.98/.99 from supermarkets.
The lowest that we did see was .95 per litre and the highest was 1.17 euro on an autoroute

The Col d Aspin must have grown since Cipro's trip as the picture of the black sign in my original post says 1490 metres but in Tims it says 1489 metres:D:eek::D:eek:

Notice the cool basket on my bike, just to keep the wine cool as the air rushes by at 1 mph:D:D:D
