Hi

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas of some really nice places to wild camp along the west coast of Scotland. Thinking of heading in the Oban Argyll direction. Would love to camp on the beach where you are able to have a camp fire. I know freezing in October, but trying to be hardened.

Thanks

Hi,
Check out the Scotland thread from the forums list, there's bound to be something in there for you. :)

Hi lilymay, have a look at my Virtual Tourist pages. We have wild camped a lot in Scotland, mostly on sea lochs. This is the link to the contents page. Click on any you fancy and look at the tips. Bear in mind many places come under UK, not just Scotland (it is an American site.)

Try Brackley Point, Loch Striven - it's lovely there, right down on the beach, you can light fires without any problem.
We go there in the summer, always wanted to go in the Autumn, it should be lovely.
