There are signs for motorhome parking by the fort in town, but most vans park by the harbour.

Thanks Jann,
I think this is at the harbour: Petit Port Philippe (at the rightbank towards the lighthouse) , Rue Louis Joonekindt, N 51 0 21.9, E 2 6 54 and Boulevard de l'Est N 51 0 12.5, E 2 6 30.7 and: Rue du Port (at the yachtharbour) N 50 59 17.1, E 2 7 21.2
There is also a parking near the beach at grand Port Philippe - left bank: Boulevard Léon Marchal N 51 0 18, E 2 6 7.1
I only don't know this is still accurate and/or allowed

Having heard alot of people mention Gravelines, we decided to call in on our way back to Calais.

The town was nice enough, but there must have been 30 or 40 'homes with little space between them all along the canal! Not our cup of tea, but good out of season I would think.

There is also a Yellow line painted along the kerb, by the boulders, to the right of the road stating "No Camping Cars". This area is for the boat owners, please don't abuse it, or it may well be another free parking area closed down.

There were as many 'homes again behind me when I took this photo, and others driving around looking for space.

years ago we used to go into dunkirk and follow the sea back towards the port. you could park across a bit of water very close to the port. it was a fair drive round but interesting. dont know if its still possible. havent been there for a while.
