A nice quiet overnight stopping point in Inverarry is to be found just next to the road from Loch Awe into the town (A819). Just before you get to the archway leading to the A83 there is a large HGV/Coach park on the left hand side of the road.

We pulled in one evening in October 2009 and although there were two HGVs parked, they did not disturb us when they left early in the morning.

Very close to everything in the town (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&hs=qTF&resnum=0&q=inverary%20scotland&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl) including several good pubs and restaurants if you want a change from home cooked food.
