Just south of Bettyhill is the bridge over the River Naver. Take the left before the bridge and less than a mile south there is a large gravel parking bay overlooking the river. Fishermen use this, and we have camped here overnight. Salmon fishing day permits for the Naver can be purchased at the General Store, Bettyhill for the following day for 25 if you are so inclined.

Am I right in thinking this spot is on the unclassified road leading to Skelpick, rather than the 'B' road?

Canalsman,
Yes you are correct, sorry, I read my roadmap incorrectly.

Here is the Ordnance Survey map ref:
O.S. 10 714593.
Also, it's quite a hike, but the locals of Bettyhill fish Loch Mor na Caorach. My friend in Bettyhill told me it is full of brown trout.
O.S. 10 765545

Thanks for the info Samson. The convention is to give grid references the other way round; go along the hallway then go up the stairs, in this case
NC 714593 rather than 593714

Or the more traditional - eastings before northings ...

I used this spot last month, fantastically quiet there. Highly recommended.
