Anyone stayed overnight in the Car Park at Cayton Bay, the one where the surf shop is? ant see a sign that says no camping / overnighting

Hi Fuzz
The owner of the car park told me no way was i allowed to stay overnight.Right next to the surf car parking field is the old coast road now a dead end .Its near to the new park and ride. Im sure you can park there unless they have put down yellow lines recently.

a big american motorhome parks there most weekends

Stopped here weekend before last.Big American motorhome was there :rolleyes:
And another van half way up.We parked right up at top of the lane (2 vans) didnt see till next morning but there is a no overnighting sign :( The second night we and two other motorhomes stopped in a layby on the A165 towards Brid here (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=north+walsham&sll=52.830669,0.398083&sspn=0.050508,0.175781&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=North+Walsham,+Norfolk,+United+Kingdom&ll=54.124696,-0.218976&spn=0.001531,0.005493&t=h&z=18) its about 10.5mile away.

I use this Layby on the A165 just outside Bridlington, quite a lot at various times throughout the year never had any problems I depart before 9am Just look for the Giant Radio Tower.
