We could not get away last week as intended and have itchy feet (well, wheels anyway). Has anyone any ideas about a get together at short notice (this weekend).

Just somewhere local to the North East would be fine.

Haway Lenny, Nowhereman and any others. Get your thinking caps on.:D

The production of Newcastle Broon ends anytime now so we need to have a wake.;)

Long live the Brown Dog.:D

Ye nah me Maingate, cut me arm off and it has Geordie written all the way through it like a stick of rock, but off the top of me heed I cant think of anywhere in Geordieland that would be suitable fer a meet without some serious artillery back up.:D
If you guys find a location that will not have my ar** twitching all night let me know.;):D

Ah just noticed the get out clause, tis about ah hour to my place, in the hills, walks galore and five pubs, not sure if thats local enough, but suppose its not the correct county fer a dogs wake though:eek:;)

Only 5 pubs nowhereman?

What made you live in a place like that? Might as well be teetotal (pardon my French). Are you sure you would not be better off with a caravan?

Oh well I suppose Alston will have to do. Anybody else up for an invasion....er I mean a meet.

I will be up on my ownsome as Lady maingate has doggy business on. I hope the sheep are good looking up your way. You had better reply to that by PM, as the answer might be embarassing for you on a public forum.:p

Please supply directions as Alston is not shown on maps of the UK.:D

If its for a few vans, there is a place in town, no probs. Any more than a few vans then there are more places but a few miles out of town:)

Think it is called Nent road, driving up the steep bank in Alston, turn left at the top of the bank and a parking area is about 100m on the right:) Alston is very small so parking area is easy to find.

Guess which sad numpty, had the beers cooling in the fridge yesterday wondering what time the lads for the Geordieland meet were going to turn up. Only to realise at around 10pm that it was actually Thursday and not Friday.:o

Yes I had a bit of a problem on this one as well.:o

My m/home must have overheard that the destination was Alston and decided she did not want to go. She turned the water temperature needle to maximum and panicked me into turning back.

I have tried everywhere to get a new water temp. sensor and would you believe it. They are a Fiat only part and are not a stock item. I have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to get one and it is costing just over 30 for the replacement, payment in advance before they will order it.

The next meet will be somewhere else and if Betty Burstner likes the destination, then I think we will have no more problems.:D

After a night at the local pub after jugs of old rosie cider, followed by a spell at our humble abode with the brandy coffees, I have been asked to relay to the maingate by Sue j and the Grand Wanderer,' why are we parked up alone in the middle of Alston without the meet instigator at hand', a couple of photies to follow in the near future:)

Here I am home alone, no one to talk to, no one to swap yarns with:eek::eek:
Is it me? Am I in the wrong place? Have I not showered especialy for the occasion?:cool:
Thank goodness the locals are freindly or all would be lost.:confused:
Have been taken in by concerend local who has shown great sympathy for our plight and been kind enough to share his brandy with us. :o:o:
So my freinds tomorrow we leave this heaven of tranquillity and journey to the land of Scotties. but never fear we will be around to blight the Boarders meet at the end of May where we feel certain that the organiser WILL be in attendance:D:D
Its a travellers life.
Regards from the unloved at Alston.
