50-60 quids worth of problem to anyone travelling to Spain?

In the big scheme of things, I reckon if you can afford to drive your camper all the way to Spain from the UK, you can afford to absorb the extra 50 squids.

If the problem is the extra paperwork and red tape to get the new 'visa', guess you just have to swallow it.

Nowt you'll be able to do to change it anyway, if that's what will happen

IF it does happen then we should expect a bit of disruption and cost.
it will all come out in the wash eventually and things will settle down.
I do disagree with the statement "if you can afford a motorhome, then you can afford..." I have been paying for my motorhome for the past 8 years (two to go) but it has been worth it, however, it does mean I have to watch my pennies, so any saving I can make, like using wildcamping locations, will help us enjoy our van purchase.

Spain is threatening to Veto the whole idea.

I suspect the other 26 countries might take Spain round the corner 'for a good seeing to', when they work out costs and workload of issuing all those Visas.

If ever there was a country that needed our tourist pounds, it's Spain... along with Greece, maybe Portugal and even France. If they make it too difficult or expensive for Brits then they just won't get the customers. Think of all the holiday flights heading over all year round. Oh well, just another month or so of fear tactics and posturing on all sides and then perhaps the mud will settle and we'll be able to see what's what at last.

    Not a problem!
For every tourist visa the EU implements we do exactly the the same to a EU national,
Personally if I never went to Spain again it would suit me down to the ground, so many nicer countries around the world would be grateful for my tourist revenue,

A Spanish General Election has been called for 28th April. The incumbent Government usually postures over Gibraltar in the run-up to a General Election.
