I hope Mrs May bought her beer in England, more expensive up here in Scotland. I wonder where the extra revenue Scottish government earns goes to? Certainly not going towards improving services.

Price increase goes to retailer, who will pay more tax to Scottish gov as their earnings [turnover] will increase.

Inevitably, £££££ís end up at Holyrood, which will go towards subsidising our MSPís cheap bar.

As TM was drinking a pint of beer which is not affected by minimum price per unit hardly relevant . Your statement that a pint is more expensive in Scotland is nonsense .
Unlikely the supermarket turnover , or earnings , will increase as the products are priced too high for their target market .
    Glad to help

You really need to get to specsavers, TM is holding a tin of Carlsberg Special, not a pint.
    Glad to keep you right.

I suspect that the photo is fake Terry. A genuine alcoholic would have a 2 litre bottle of White Lightning, not Special Brew.

You are absolutely correct , bet you don't hear that too often !
I'm sure , like all of us , you'll be relieved to hear that beer , in general , is not any more expensive in Scotland .
