Just looking back on this thread, I suddenly realised what a sad old bunch of reprobates we are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone remember carriages in Droylsden back in the 70s? and Bredbury hall with the fivers in balloons that would drop through the evening and the pool that most of us would end up in around 2 in the morning, wow what a crazy time that was. I spent several years as the Friday DJ at the White Lion doing 50s, 60s & 70s and running the kindergarten and when finished there I tripped over to The Blue Waterfall / Munroes for a 12 'till 2 spot. Did regular spots at the Pitt & Nelson in Ashton too, so I've probably bumped into quite a few of you over the years

Blimey Monroes/blue waterfall was a tough night at times.... Bredbury Hall was a bit on the posh side for us, ;-)
Plenty of nights in the spread Eagle in Ashton and the Witch wood...

Not forgetting Quaffers in Bredbury too...

Ah but, remember that they started out as a golf driving range. And then of course was the really posh one, The GOLDEN GARTER !! in Wythenshawe. It started out as Darrells and had an enormous Scalextric track and a ten pin bowling alley too. Being a little older than you I spent quite a bit of my misspent youth at Sale Locano and Altrincham Ice rink and St Bernadettes youth club on Princess Road ( saw the Silver Beatles there)

    Well it's gone

Well the amp is now off to a new life with the legend that is Hairy Dog. Because you were short of time we did not have time to natter, but when I offer stuff I generally ask for a donation to be made to 'Help For Heroes', but it kinda slipped my mind, sorry, 'twould be nice though plus you owe me a pint !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do hope that it gives you as much pleasure as it has me (but perhaps not Sue !!)over the last 40 odd years, and yes, it has been used at the Globe

Perhaps next time we're over your way, we'll not be so squeezed for time.
    Yer, thanks

Do I assume from your post that you will not be making a donation to charity?
