Anyone who needs to know how to get to Stonehenge from Greywell please look at the link below.
You need to turn off the A303 onto the A345 and then go to Larkhill where you turn into Willowby Road, follow the road to the end and enter a track past the Farm and you will end up on the Drove, which goes past Stonehenge.

Thursday will be fine, I won't be there until Friday lunch time.
If you can pop into the pub and just and introduce yourself and let them know your with us that will be good.
    See you there.

I'd love to join you but can't make it to Stonehenge and Greywell about 5 hours away. 🙁

Carol if you arrive today you could be the first one there but as you know that's not a problem, Coloin and Sue will be there tomorrow, as you have seen.
Just do the usual thing pop in the pub and introduce yourself, I will see you Friday, hopefully when I've finish decorating the Kitchen diner.

People might know this already but just in case, campfires are allowed there. There are a few spots that have been used and easy to spot, we've brought a raised fire pit when we've been there

    My Journey To Greywell

One of my lovely daughters lives in Crawley so on Wednesday evening I met her, her partner and my gorgeous Grand Daughter in a pub in Crawley (more of that elsewhere since the landlord is happy for overnighting).
After a great meal and catch-up I drove southwards to the South Downs (that name has always concerned me because I'm confident that we go UP) and stayed overnight just north of Brighton on the POI just by the Devil's Dyke pub. This is the most northerly of the five or so POI's listed in that area. Yesterday morning I woke to the lovely view from my bed posted below.
Then I pottered down to Brighton and had a look over the POI on Marine Parade for future reference. Can we REALLY overnight there? It seemed to me to be available only to coaches and/or requires the use of a parking ticket machine.

Further westwards I came to the new wind farm installation in the sea just off the coast. It's quite a sight and turbines are still being installed. The facility is clearly not operational yet since none of the vanes were turning in the stiff breeze - pictures below. I then cut north west across the Downs (really?) and eventually to the Fox and Goose at Greywell where I had the rather good Beef Madras for dinner.

Weather wise this morning has started very well indeed with breakfast in warm sunshine so those of you joining us don't dilly dally on the way!
