Exiting Caernarfon, past the castle (on your left) you come to a roundabout immediately before Safeway. Turn left at roundabout down to the end and turn right where it says Coach parking. Another Lorry congregating spot. Car park is immediately beneath Safeway.
There is a small road that turns right off here. It is a dead end and is used for overnighting especially as the car parks now have a building on them

Could not find this so went down near the castle a smallish car park but not really suitable as very open (in December) so tried to find the official site 3 miles on bloody nightmare as all the sites seem to be closed but finally found the village and guess what no sign whatsoever for the site as it was now nearly 11pm and the fuel light came on with the missus saying "why did we come here" went back to Caernavon and parked up in Tescos car park and had a very peaceful night. Next morning spent quite a few pounds shopping in Tesco as a thank you for not being disturbed.

    Yes, we have one

    try

Try the area on the other side of the footbridge opposite the castle, & along the road about 300mtrs.
To get to this position, u drive south around the ring rd & past Tesco on your right to a roundabout. Now turn right into a lane, from memory I think there is an immediate right turn, take this right turn & soon the Caravan Club site will be on your left. Carry on to the river which will be on your right, you will see many suitable parking places along this road.
If you get lost you can either ask for the caravan club site or follow your nose towards the river.
    Happy camping!
    regards graham

    This is quite nice!
The further U drive along the rd the wilder it gets. Good views with boating to watch!
One of my favorite spots!, but would not leave the van unattended as too exposed. If U require to leave the van, then park near to the Castle end of the rd
