There's a water tap here on the small patch of grass to the left of the beach huts. I have a theory that where ever there are beach huts Fareham Council have a public tap... need to investigate further....

All of the carparks on the coast have signs up saying vehicles not be used for "habitation domestic or sanitation purposses" or a fixed pennality will be issued. Will try and get exact wording next week. Only exception is Meon - cliff road which has dates assigned to this stipulation:

The ship inn on the left on the way onto hayling island is valid, but in the last month I've not been able to get into the carpark once at any time between 5pm and 10pm Monday to Thursday (not tried outside of those times)

Hello, Is this the location of the tap ? http://goo.gl/maps/aJdX0 Did you notice what type of tap, i was in Devon recently and the beach huts had a push type with no hose fitting screw thread. This is not essential for the data base but its good to note for those who don't have the jubilee clip adapter type .

    Thanks James

I have visited the POI LR Meon Shore today and can confirm what Jenks has said. Basically overnight occupation of a vehicle is prohibited at the risk of a fixed penalty being issued.

I have removed the POI entry ...

However I am parked overnight nearby, just here:

    OU Hill Head (Hampshire) http://tinyurl.com/ouw68zc

This will be in the next POI release.
