    skydiver and diver

    went skydving today for the first time. strapped myself to the guy ,and we jumped out the plane's door .
    as we plumetted , the guy says to me , ''so... how long have you been an instructor ?''

    That reminds of of a conversation I had with a lady years ago on a dive boat off the coast of Kenya. She was diving on her own as her husband decided SCUBA Diving was too dangerous - and instead took up Sky Diving!
    Personally, going 30 Metres underwater feels a lot safer then falling to earth from over 3,000 Metres above ground.

    I would rather die from a sudden thump than trying to hold my breath for a slow death.

    except it is not that tricky to just pop up 30 metres if you have a air tank issue

    that's why 30M is the limit for recreational diving - although not recommended, you can do a direct non-stop fast ascent without any serious consequences if need be (unlike a fast descent from 3000 metres which does have serious consequences )

    30 metres.......boring. Some off the best wrecks are below 30 metre.
