Deposit paid 👍
I've just paid my deposit via PayPal and added my username in the notes section. Sorry I totally forgot to put how many people in the party but it's just me. I'll definitely travel from Dover, as that's not too far from me. A Whitwell meet might complicate things a little but I think I'd prefer to pop home in between in any case.
I'm really looking forward to the trip... thank you Ian and Colin for all your hard work getting this organised.
Ian and I have just discussed progress for the Netherlands gathering.
Ian is aware that several attendees have now paid their deposit into his account. Thank you.
Ian is currently snowed under with work and other matters and will update the thread showing your deposit as paid by the coming weekend.
We're looking forward to this gathering!
Change of plans, can not make this meeting.
Many thanks for all the deposits received, I've managed to update the list. If I've missed anyone I'm sorry just let me know. Now off to see some steam engines at Henham

In the original post Ian mentions that we plan to spend the first night at an Aire close to Graveline on our trip to the Netherlands. I've used this Aire several times and thought that, since I'm just starting a winter trip, I'd drop in to check it's still operational.
The Aire is rural and there isn't too much light pollution so, if we have clear skies, the stars will be worth watching. They were last night!
The Aire has no water or waste liquid disposal but does have a waste container. It is down a surfaced lane and the nearest house is about 500 metres away. The site is level with a tarmac surface for access and grass parking.
There are four parking areas, three of which have height restrictions which non-the-less allow a standard height Transit to enter. These three height restricted areas can accommodate about 200 vehicles.
There is officially room for 15 mohos on the fourth unrestricted height Aire but unofficially more could be accommodated.
On each of the previous visits I have either been totally alone or at most there were two other mohos in addition to me. Last night was no exception - one Dutch camper, one German moho plus me.
This morning the Aire was a good place to be:

More information about the trip in due course.
Hi Ian and Colin,
Because of work commitments, we wont be able to leave the UK until Mon 8th.
We have compared all the crossings and decided to try the LeShuttle for the first time, as the price was very acceptable.
We are booked on the Chunnel on Mon 8th April, at 16.20 returning on Thurs 18th at 0936.
This of course means that initially we will be a couple of days behind you, but it should be possible to catch you up, wherever you are, on the Monday evening.
If anyone is curious, we have paid £229 for 8m plus Max return.
The Chunnel crossing from Folkestone to Calais is just 35mins.
Really looking forward to this trip!
Thanks for all your hard work.
Rog and Chris.
