Hi all changing me ZIG unit for fuses & box.
Is there a rule for what amp fuse for each appliance? Led Lights fridge 12 volt sockets ect is it to do with consumption thickness of the wire? Or what ?
    Thanks for your help.

Correct fuses and cable size is a must for all electrical instalations , too big or too small and you risk FIRE.

Absolutely agree with above, Worth getting it right.....
Minimum Fuse capacity for the required Designed Load on each cable or circuit. Then try it to see if it can cope with any 'Start up Loads' that might kick in.

    1 thickness of the wire
    2 consumption

You can easily get this wrong and if you don't know yourself get an auto electrician to fix it.

You could very easily have a fire if you get things wrong.

CF8 Zig I've never had a zig unit before in any camper van and prefer the fuse box idea what I'm used to
I have a Genny a good mains battery charger also can use it on EHU
In the process of fitting a Sterling battery to battery charger BB1260 & remote
So a Zig is an overkill
Think that's why so many on Ebay for sale?

The Zig 8 was a good unit why not just leave it in position and incorporate your upgrade around it.
On a small van such as yours it's an ideal control unit and will char e your battery on hook up without the need for an additional charger.

I may have read the question incorrectly but watts/volts = Amps ( is that the question you are asking ?)

    e.g 60 watts of lights / 12 v would give a 5 amp draw .

For fire risk as others have said thickness of the cable is important.

The Zig should incorporate 3 fuses already plus the switches for each circuit it's a simple unit that rarely goes wrong most on ebay are surplus stock or from scrapers.
