    Simply put, you need to either stay at a campsite or buy a permit, of which there are a limited number each day. I have no idea how strictly or otherwise this is being enforced.

    Not been for ages. Midge hell the last time. Go for it, plead ignorance on the permit thing. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
