The inverter is true sine wave and is grid tied. It can smooth out and compensate the income mains.

With the solar connected, once the batteries are full, it will feed the solar energy on to the grid (if I enable it). This means I can save the planet!

I took out my banner batteries.
I took out my Truma inverter.
I cut two large holes in the floor of the van. (not through the vans shell, just the raised floor)

I fitted 3 large AGM Lead Carbon batteries
    I fitted a Victron inverter charger (12 / 1600 / 70)
I fitted a Victron 50A MPPT charger (for the trailer solar panels)

    I typed I a lot.

    The wiring needs completing tomorrow.

Here is a photo half way through.

    Attachment 51806

    The batteries are:

NorthStar NSB 210FT Blue+ AGM Thin Plate Lead Carbon Battery

Before you think that I have too much money, I got the batteries cheap, and they have never had a cycle!

    C10 200Ah
    C20 226Ah
    C100 290Ah

I could use 339Ah in a day without going through 50% DoD. Bring on the zombie apocalypse!

The batteries I removed weighed 110kg, these weigh 207kg. So I am going to have to go on a diet.
Respect. That is a mighty system,I haven't seen a battery bank and solar array as big as that, the ultimate wild camping set up,just avoid weighbridges like the plague.

Lucky for me that my van is only a MWB but is 3500kgs. I had it weighed (tanks full) and I had 275Kgs on my front axle and 577kgs on the rear.

With all that power, will you arrive before you set off if you hit 88mph?

Met a German couple in France the other year that had converted an Ifor Williams ( ramp/door ) box trailer into a motorbike garage and a mobile power station

Proper secure fixing for the bike, a 2000amp battery bank and 1500watt of solar panels on the roof

Their motorhome hooked up to the trailer and everything ran off electric via a large inverter including the kettle
