The Corran Ferry service has been suspended for the foreseeable future due to hitting rocks, it's back up ferry is undergoing repairs so no service available.

Yup, steering problem to be looked at too, awaiting divers to assess damage to hull. Couldn't have happened at a worse time, peak tourist season.

On the plus side, it's a nice run round from Inchree to Fort William and back to Corran......and the ferries are so cheap that if you want you can go to Mull from Oban and then go back over from Tob to Kilchoan!!

I get the occasional free trips on the 'new' one as it has three of our battery chargers on board.

Last visit was a couple of years ago, we can do our service calls as it goes from side to side, so no interruption to services.

Hadn't seen the item re the grounding.

Twin engines, twin batteries and twin chargers, Trev, plus a third backup charger.

If they are going to have problems it would probably be mechanical/hydraulic.

Apparently the ferry service is now back up and running as normal.
