I was sceptical about these, but bought a cheap ebay one and it does work.

I've used one recently to start my van. Brilliant. One thing to note though is to check it will deal with your engine size as I think they do have different capacities.

Brilliant things...got one by RoyPow(!!) When we were having starting issues, however they were resolved before we left UK . So have used it as a power bank to charge tablets and phones and run the mifi when we are parked up. As long as the pack is full, we can charge these devices a few times without having to use the engine. Not what it was bought for but a great backup.

I treat myself to a Micro - Start pps earlier this year. Like Alf never used it to start my own van, hopefully will never have to but I have used it to start a couple of cars.
I use it every trip out to charge my ecigs, iPad, iPhone, mifi etc, etc. Wouldnít be without it, excellent bit of kit imho.
