    Taking the cat camping?

Anyone tried taking the cat camping with them?

Our cat thinks he's a dog, he also loves being in the van, as soon as he hears one of the doors open he materialises inside. Carried him out of it to lock it up earlier, came back and he was on the roof meowing at the roof-light.

Had him inside it when I've been working on it, even with the engine running. I actually got worried he might jump on the engine whilst it was running.

Our lass isn't keen on the idea but I quite fancy popping somewhere local for the day (and possibly the night) out of curiosity. Though not sure whether he'll just wonder off or not.

Never done it personally but seen it done quite a few times.
All the cats I have seen seemed very laid back in character though.
Even saw one in a harness and lead taken for a walk.

If the cat is use to the vehicle & is generally ok when in a Carry Box While On The move, Then consider a training it on a cat harness & do a short local trip for a Night !
I had Two cats on my boat while I Traveled BLINKING NIGHTMARE at times, Even done a ‘Cat Overboard Manover off of The Essex coast on one occasion.
But on the whole ok ish

I like cats, I like kids. Could never manage a whole one. It's good to take some fresh meat along. Cats go well with a curry sauce I'm told.

    I'll get me coat.

Out last weekend at Yellocraig and van pulled in next to us. 4 wee dogs and 2 cats.....all tethered on leads. Glad my 3 dogs didn't spot them as it could have ended badly

My white cat travels round to school in van for kids the odd time sitting on the dash board.

First time I saw one was walking past an 'A' class, sat in the front window. I had a double take moment.
The cat, a Siamese, had a look of superiority about it, probably knew how to use a cassette toilet too.
