I hope I can explain this properly but In our van we have a cupboard on top of the gas box. At one point I was considering changing the location of our gas bottles for easy access but this is going to be too costly. it's a a bit of a pain when we want to change the gas bottle because of the "make do" cupboard we have sat securely on top of the gas bottle, my question is is there a some sort of device I can put on both bottles so when one runs out it automatically start using the other gas bottle. Our bottles are only the small So we get through them pretty quick !

    Auto change over kit....

LPG Propane Gas Bottle Connector & Hoses Auto Regulator Change Over Kit | eBay

Lots of folks use these with propane bottles on statics/houses etc....
I went for a manual change so I always know when I'm down to one full bottle and need to refill the bottles.

Ahaaa so there is such a thing .. I remember someone mentioning it many moons ago but wasn't sure if it was something we could get for the small bottles.
It definitely make life easier knowing we can change bottles a little less frequently and maybe just carry another spare one securely under the bed.
Next question are they easy to fit ? I'm paranoid about gas leaks since I nearly blew my nans house up once

Hmmmm hope her hair grew back... but maybe not a DIY job then Jac? I'm sure you and Paul will manage it between you and I've heard there is a spray bottle of something or other that you squirt over the joints so that you can test for leaks. When you say small bottles, do you mean smaller versions of the ordinary Calor exchangeable propane ones? I think the fitments are all the same on top of the Calor ones, even on the titchy 3.5kg one that I've kept as a spare for the BBQ.

Or liquid soap hand wash. The firm I used to work for just used a bar of hand soap and water.
