I hate the wind. Years ago I saw stacked scaffolding boards being blown about like matchsticks.
I was near some men's toilets and i shot inside. Never experienced anything like it since.....and I hope I never see it in the future.
I'm always a bit paranoid about parking near or under big trees and tend to avoid them, the trees around me are not much taller than the truck and are very closely planted so pose minimal risk.

Over all the years we`ve been doing this malarky i`ve only been " very concerned " about the wind twice when out in the motorhome.

1st time was roughly 15 years back was at Kylesku in Scotland, i even came down off the Milenco`s and turned to face the wind but it didn`t make much difference.

2nd time was roughly 3 years back on the aire at Durfort in Southern France, there was also a sort of meet going on with 20+ French Motorhomers and they were seriously worried as well. We was all outside at 3am moving around to try and get very close to each other in an attempt to help.

In both cases the next day was absolutely glorious with clear blue skies and blazing sunshine.

Not half as unnerving as those boards flying through the air like leaves in a breeze.

I've got the model previous to yours an 8-153,7.5t horsebox,I did consider a later one but I find trucks started getting complicated electronics and emission gear fitted after about 2000 and are just unserviceable for a bush mechanic like me. I really like MAN trucks but not many horse boxes have them as a base so it took a while to find one, simple to drive and very comfortable,I've not driven the TGL,are you happy with it?
Yes I am a full timer.

Yes we are happy although electronics are a pain, we are having built an expedition vehicle on a man 8.136 due for delivery in July, back to bush mechanics for me too
