What a surprise (not) mortorhome has had to go to Barnsley instead of at home repair, then told I was underquoted after they have started the job, also told bonnet catch "fell off" getting the radiator out.

I organised this through "Click for Mechanic".
I have taken "before" photos, it will be interesting to see the finished job and how much it will cost me.

Photos before, showing that the rad needed changing:

A dirty engine bay is a sine of neglect, should be cleaned each night before bednaughty boy.
A estimate is as is and not always the true final price but unless secondary problems are found should be close .

If you are replacing the Rad, Check the Rad, check the crossmember for rust as quite common on Ducato's. Replacement is only 61 on ebaay and a job well worth doing.

It needs doing (cleaning too) I thought the quote was pretty good at 170, they did not say it was an estimate however, perhaps they will clean the engine bay for me too?

Thanks, I shall have a look when I get the van back Chris, they may advise me of a change if it requires one as well.

To be honest a quote is a quote not just an estimate.
