TODAY at 2.15 we said goodbye to my lovely wife Sheila .RIP.
We gave her a good send off at Mansfield crem.
Tomorrow I collect her ashes bring her home for a little while before she is interred in the family plot.
Perhaps Sheila will get to Scotland again one last time at least the midges wont bother her.

I would like to thank you all for following my liittle life for a few short days please know how much I appreciate all you kind words
and condolences you have sent .
I would also like to thank all who read these posts but felt that they could not reply I understand .
Best wishes and fond regards to you all.

It seems as if pressing like is wrong and people were thinking about you at this sad time, those that couldnít reply just didnít know what to say even though they were thinking about you for some it is hard to know what to say but Iím sure they were thinking about you and I didnít press the like button but I pressed the thanks button for sharing your short but sad time and even though it doesnít feel like it Iím sure in time you will be out and about in your van with your dog,

TOOK CAMPERVAN FOR MOT TODAY .
it failed on a bit of weldingunder front near side wheel arch which i have started today.
cleaned all all the rust away .but its left a big hole reconstruction plates made start welding tomorrow .
brakes not very good so i am going to fit discs and pads all round .
Its been stood since we went to wales 14 .7.18 so rust had set into the discs so when you brake it scores the discs.
all 4 corners for under £200 so not to bad on a 14 year old van.
rgds.as always ian. and molly collie.

Your loss is palpable. Reading the lovely words you have written about Sheila is a tribute to the obviously wonderful relationship you both had. It is heartbreaking for you to have lost Ellie as well, but after taking your advice, and googling ďRainbow BridgeĒ, I can appreciate the comfort this gives. Take extra special care of yourself over these next difficult weeks. You are a brave man indeed.

Today Red Cross picked up the bed table wheel chair commode 2 mattresses and a few other odds and ends.
I have to praise RC for all there help and support without them sheila would have had to stay in a hospice for her last 6 months.
without the Doctors ,district nurses and carers who looked after her from day to day .NONE of the above would have been possible.
I look in the conservatory and realize I have it back again .
I can start and fill it up with junk but still hear the "your not putting THAT in here" but its raining I will take it to the garage when it stops raining.
Sheila trained me well I think.
Just the internment to go now ,but I kinda like the idea of her still being with me.

hi just a quick update after talking things over with our daughter Vicky who is expecting baby Isabella in early September .
We have decided to wait until after Isabella is born before Sheilas ashes are interned in the family plot.
This was will make a connection between there nanna and granddaughters and grandson in the years to come.
I still shed a few tears every now and then but they are usually brought on by fond memory's.
I think we will be out in the campervan before to long as there are a few country fairs coming up.

It's really early days for you still DD but it sounds as though you're doing well. It took me a couple of years to totally build up a new life for myself and those emotional waves still come crashing in now and then... mostly life is good though and it will be again for you, even if it's not the life that was planned. I remember the best piece of random advice I had when I was first on my own... my daughter said, never turn down an invitation or opportunity to go somewhere. So, get out in your van whenever you can and reconnect with the world
