Been in the south of France for last 6 weeks and seen very few Brits ( they must have known we were there)
Lots of Germans and many with Big Big vans and towing. Obviously transiting to warm places for winter, not even too many Dutch, strange!
But yesterday coming north around the Lot and Dordogne area, lots and lots of Brit vans and most concentrating that hard on the rd, they couldn’t be bothered to wave
I do think Spain and Portugal will have a very busy winter. The Germans have taken over! Mind you, we get on well with the Germans, always have
    Edit
Oh and several of the Brits were pretending to be French

Must have all been in the north of Spain. Have honestly never seen and talked to so many British people whilst motorhoming abroad, out with Calais, oh and Benidorm of coarse.

Off topic warning...... We aren't keen on travelling with others. We're quite happy to meet with friends at an aire or site but we would rather travel alone. We have done it early on for security reasons but now we don't want the faff if someone wants to use a different route or gets lost.

Too expensive .. we stopped in France earlier in the year June / July €7 for two coffees. Supermarket was a joke we had to take a mortgage out on the MH for a couple of days shopping. Price of fuel is also expensive.

Spain this morning sitting by the beach €1 each for a coffee.

To be quite honest, we have not found it too bad and certainly not as expensive as we expected!why? Because we never ate out, never even had a coffee or a beer away from the van, and we shopped at Lidl😀We can just as easy people watch on an aire as from a bar and much cheaper 🍷🍺🍷🍺

    Where are the Brits

Just spent two months going round Czeck Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary....we’ve finally met our first Brits back in Austria. We stayed at one campsite in the mountains in Romania where the owner got really excited that we were there, his first Brits ever in 14 years....insisted on taking our photos for his website!

After a whie you get used to travelling at 80kph and enjoy the extra time to view the scenery.
Agree about you get used to 80kph. Was the same when I transported dangerous goods as a lower speed limit was mandatory and 90 kph was above but accepted by French plods
You also get better mpg 😀
