You can get 12v hair driers, there not fantastic but they do work,a towel uses no lecy and they work very well.

Or just dry your hair over the top of your smoldering inverter.

The same inverters had reviews of them going up in smoke.

I have to admit a hairdryer is a luxury I am unwilling to give up...unruly hair otherwise! But I found that having the van heater blowing on high worked fairly well! My husband laughs about it but then he has no hair!! 😂😂

Whilst still on the same subject, my inverter fan never switches on.

It is a Nikkai 300w, use it for charging cordless razor, laptop, phones & torches. Sometimes, all at once. It can get quite hot, at which stage I unplug it.

I've a feeling the fan may be faulty. Has anyone an idea how I can test it??.
Britons were wild camping long before campsites, it's a basic human right.

The items you are putting on for charging are very unlikely to
add up to more than 20W or so. Probably not sufficient to trigger
off the fan. You need to plug in something say around 200W to give it a
real work out ie test, keeping your ear near it to listen for the fan to cut in whilst
keeping a close eye on it just in case it doesn't, and needs to be quickly unplugged/switched off.
