For the jeans
After several years of touring France and Spain I have assembled most items needed to service the van - until today that is. We pulled into the Aire at Saint Quentin to find a hydraulic push fit connection to the water fitting, I mean what's wrong with a tap and when did these come in? Luckily I had one on the end of my wash brush, not the best quality but did the job while soaking my jeans. Now I have to get another fitting. Grrrrr
We came across one of these fittings last year, luckily we werenít desperate for water so ended up getting it from the next aire the following day
What is it? A link, anyone?
I read the thread title and thought we were back on the you-know-who bandwagon again
We've a wee box with umpteen adapters, screw fit, different threads , spare hose, jubilee clips. I guess there always one gonna catch us out sometime. Never come across the hydraulic type though. Can anyone post a link... might need 2 add 2 the collection.
If at 1st you don't succeed ... skydiving probably isn't for you
I am guessing itís a hoseloc female fitting. I have found these also on some aires in France.
My fill up hose has a male hoseloc, female hoseloc and brass threaded ends and on the other end a conical rubber fitting / tap connector.
Never been beaten yet 😃
Wilco sell a selection of hoseloc type fittings for £1 I think 👍
We came across one of those fittings at Rugles. The Aire that has an orange star against it saying that it is fantastic ( not true0.
Hozelock do this fiting but I have not managed to locate one yet. They are very similar to a compressed air fitting. I have looked in Wilkos but can't find one.
