Have you checked there is power on the live side of the fuse, then check the other side, just because a fuse looks OK doesn't mean it is, if you have power both sides of the fuse check the wiring from the fuse to the light switch.

if you have power to the light switch then check the switch.

The interior lights don't work if the engine is running so I presume it uses a relay that cuts the power when the ignition is on so I would find the relay and check it with a multimeter.
A puzzling thing from the Elddis Handbook is this
Q: MY INTERIOR LIGHTS ARE NOT
    WORKING, WHAT DO I DO?
A: It is possible that all of the 230V mains
electrical equipment may not be operated
simultaneously. A typical UK Caravan Site
mains hook-up point provides a maximum
output of 10 amps and on some
continental sites, this may be as low as 5
amps. So, for example if you operate a
colour TV (2.50 amps), Blown air heater
(8.6 amps), water heater (4 amps) and
interior lights, you may overload your
system by using too many appliances at
the same time. Switching off other
appliances should allow your lights to
    work.
It suggests (IMO) that some interior lights are 230V only so have you checked them on EHU?, it is strange if they only work on 230V but the fact that the handbook lists them as 230V equipment makes me wonder

It is difficult to diagnose without seeing it and more difficult not to sound condescending if we suggest something basic but electrical problems can be as simple as a bad earth or poor positive connection to something needing more in depth investigation, where in the Country are you?

Sorry, bit late replying, but with help of friend, discovered light fitting itself was faulty! So have now replaced it & put led tube in. Now have 2 spare tubes - the original which was not faulty & 1 that came with new fitting! Thanks for taking trouble to reply.

Not quite answering your problem, but I have recently bought a pack of these (different amp sizes), I have not tested them yet, apparently the fuse glows when it has blown.
This will certainly help me find a blown fuse in the shoe cupboard of the motorhome, in the dark.
